Wolves Lane at Tottenham Flower and Produce Show at Harmony Gardens
There were home-grown veg and flowers and home-made produce and crafts at the show which was held between 8.30-11am. Classical music was played by musicians. The judging took place between 12-1pm with prize giving at 3pm. Congrats to all participants in this fun day!
Events within the event:
Johnnie Amos, award winning garden designer and BBC gardening presenter, gave a talk on Companion Gardening (natural pest control and making your garden look attractive). Johnny was a finalist for the BBC Gardener of the Year in 2004.
There were also adult workshops on growing rare perennial and unusual vegetables, bee keeping and honey making, the medical properties of home grown herbs and vegetables, food growing and plant propagation, informative tours of the Harmony Gardens Fruit & Vegetable and flower beds, bike maintenance and a Cob workshop.
Free children’s workshops were held on making mosaics, making musical instruments (a stringed instrument called The jingling jenny and a fish rattle!), upcycling, birds and leaves, and pond dipping!
And Wolves Lane Centre joined the fun as one of a variety of interesting stalls on the subject of gardening and green issues by local green organisations.
