Our web site has been up and running for a whole year and what an eventful year its been.

Firstly….Wolves Lane community garden centre is still here and to celebrate we now have 3 new baby chickens (yet to be named so come in and see them and give us your suggestions) and Sid, our snake, has laid 20 eggs which we will incubate and, hopefully, raise some baby snakes.

There are also exotic butterflies hatching in the Palm House so come in and see if you can spot any of them.

Secondly… Haringey’s Cabinet met on Tuesday to agree on the centre’s future.  They agreed the following recommendations –

3.1 That members agree to cease service provision at WLHC in April 2017 in line with the findings of the service review detailed in this report

3.2 That expressions of interest for the future use of WLHC are sought from suitably qualified organisations and that the outcomes of this exercise are reported back to the Cabinet before the end of 2016.

A video of the meeting and full report are on the councils website.

Its now up to all of us to make point 3.2 work and make sure we are here for our next birthday
