A Poem Created at our Christmas Party by the Service Users and Volunteers.

Last Friday (16th December) Wolves Lane held its service users and volunteers Christmas party. “We sang carols, read poems (our favourite is ‘I keep my snowman in the freezer’) and, as is Wolves Lane tradition, composed our annual poem.

This year’s poem went something like this:

Santa journeys on his sleigh

then comes down your chimney.

He gives you presents in your sitting room

Oh what a lovely day.

We give Santa Christmas cards

and he gives his reindeers a treat.

He drinks his milk and mince tarts.

Oh what a lovely day.

One of our volunteers wrote her own poem which is very inspiring especially given that the Council make their final decision about the future of Wolves Lane at the Cabinet meeting 24th January.

Join us for our Christmas party

As we celebrate again

Here at Wolves Lane Garden Centre

Even though this year’s brought pain!

A year in which we’ve joined together

Closer than we were before,

Our Social Enterprise will work

And we won’t worry anymore!

Hope you enjoy them
