MAY COMMUNITY MARKET – a rousing success! May 7th, 2018

So many great events have been held at Wolves Lane, and we look forward to many more in the future after lock down ends!

Here’s a memory of an event the Wolves Lane community has enjoyed. Who was there? What activities happened on this day?

Read on below…

London Grown organised and held the new monthly community market at Wolves Lane this past bank holiday Monday, May 7th, 2018 from 1 ~ 6pm. A great success!

Over 200 community members, supporters, fans, young and old alike, visited the market to celebrate gardening, buy new plants, learn about community groups operating locally, taste delicious BBQ chicken and many other treats, browse organic and locally sourced cosmetics and honey, try on handmade locally produced jewelry… and some even got their bike fixed for free!

Children enjoyed face painting, drawing and games. The cafe and grounds were a hive of activity, old friends greeting each other in the sun, picnicing on the verge, acquaintances renewed, and new friends were being made.

London Grown gave tours of the Wolves Lane campus, including greenhouses, Palm House, the cafe and the peaceful and relaxing Woodland Walk at the back of the property, a secret hideaway, new to many and happily found.
