Wolves Lane says:
“Black Rootz is excited to welcome the Linnean Society to Wolves Lane, and to contribute to the development of our market gardening site in Haringey. The site has recently been turned over to the cultivation of crops relevant to African Diaspora communities. There is lots of work to be done as we ramp up to the growing season including planting out at our Pasteur Gardens site as well as potting on at our Wolves Lane location!
The tasks for the day will include planting out green onions or potting on tropical plants. We’ll talk you through our process in the run up to the summer and we’ll show you around our amazing Wolves Lane Site, where you’ll meet our resident turtles and robins in our tropical Palm House, walk around the incredible cactus house our fellow site users look after, and have a look at all the diverse and exciting crops we will be growing in the season ahead.
We are more than happy to answer any questions you have about gardening, and we’ll also feed you an amazing lunch cooked by our community cooks at Wolves Lane, who provide incredible cooked meals for food banks every week.”
